HISTORIC BLACK NEIGHBORHOOD QUILT PROJECT
Stop by the Cultural Center to drop off your panel or make one with the help of the Jubilee Quilting Circle
FOOD TRUCKS AND RETAIL VENDORS
Indulge in decadent bites and shopping throughout the entire day.
KIDS ZONE
Play in the Splash Pad, fly kites, hula hoop, play games and more. In addition CLASS Bookstore will be providing a literary tent for young readers to meet the authors of their favorite books and get them signed, The Ensemble Theatre will be merging arts and science for an immersive kid experience, and the Houston Museum of Natural Science will be getting dirty with an interactive fossil experience kids of all ages will love.
PUBLIC ART INSTALLATION
Check out this year’s Public Art Installation inspired by our theme, “Crowns of Liberation”. Take photos, interact with it, and go up for the Gram, while immersing yourself in the rich history, legacies, and traditions of our culture.

CROWNS OF LIBERATION PARADE
Join us in the promenade of Emancipation Park with your crowns, cowboy hats, durags, bonnets, kangols, military hats, headdresses and head wraps as we 2nd Line, Soul Train, Jig, Skip, Ease, Souf Side and Strut in a parade that honors ALL THE WAYS WE ADORN OUR CROWNS! Led by the Bayou City Brass Band the kickoff to the parade starts at 5:30pm
